Owen Martin’s career is a Tale of Two Whiskies, shaped by both American and Scottish traditions. Originally drawn to brewing, his path shifted at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, where a Master’s program led him into distilling. Since then, he’s worked across single malt and American whiskey, building a deep understanding of distillation, fermentation, wood influence, and maturation environments. His true passion lies in finishing and blending to create entirely new flavor experiences.

As Master Distiller for Angel’s Envy, Owen oversees all production and innovation, including the annual Cask Strength release, the Single Barrel program, and the limited-edition Cellar Collection. Known for his curiosity and hands-on approach, he’s happiest experimenting, digging into the details, and hunting for hidden gems in the rickhouse.
